Thrift Guide – Green with Envy
In a world that increasingly values sustainability and individuality, thrifting has emerged as a remarkable avenue for finding unique and eco-friendly home decor pieces. The allure of thrifted items lies not only in their affordability but also in the stories they carry, each piece having a history and character that new, mass-produced items often lack.
Although I don’t typically consider wearing the color green, it has become one of my preferred choices when thrift shopping for decor. Beyond its visual appeal, green holds significant symbolism, representing nature, growth, and harmony. Finding thrifted decor items in various shades of green infuses an earthy and calming ambiance into your space.
Here are some of my favorite green thrift finds:
The Domino Book of Decorating – A great book to check out if you are decorating your home and don’t know where to start!
This Awesome Book, Buy Yourself the F*cking Lilies by Tara Schuster
This Vintage Hoosier Glass Bud Vase Perfect for Holding a Few Pretty Blooms
A Vintage Ashtray – I mean the COLOR on this is gorgeous!
This Vintage Indiana Glass Compote Holds Spare Change in Our Bedroom
A Ribbed Glass Candle Holder in the Prettiest Color

And lastly,
Your local thrift stores hold a treasure trove of unique finds, each item with its own story and charm, just waiting to find a new home with you. Happy hunting!
