CELEBRATE: Taylor Swift-Themed Birthday Party!

My sweet Flora is turning 8, and for her special day, she requested a Taylor Swift-themed birthday party. And who am I to say no to my little Love Story fanatic? We’re going to Shake It Off and have a blast with some fun Taylor Swift-inspired party elements.

The Invitation

One of the best things about planning a themed birthday party is finding unique and creative ways to tie everything together. And when it comes to Taylor Swift-themed parties, there’s no shortage of inspiration! One of my favorite finds was THIS customizable birthday invitation I found on Etsy. The invitation was a digital download that I could customize with Flora’s name and party details, and then send to a local printer for professional printing. The process was quick, easy, and affordable, and the result was a one-of-a-kind invitation that perfectly matched our party theme. And the best part? The invitation set the tone for the entire party and left me super inspired ✨

The Party Decor

If you’re looking to add a fun and colorful touch to your Taylor Swift-themed party, a balloon arch is a great way to go! I found a great kit on Etsy that included all the balloons and supplies needed to create a beautiful arch. While it may seem daunting to create a balloon arch from scratch, it’s actually easier than you think – as long as you give yourself enough time. I recommend starting a day or two in advance, as it can take some time to blow up all the balloons. Investing in an inexpensive balloon inflator like THIS is a great idea to speed up the process. The kit made it easy to get the perfect color scheme for our party, and the finished result was stunning! The arch really added a Lover vibe to the room and made our guests feel like they were stepping into a true Taylor Swift wonderland.

Party Activities

Friendship Bracelet Making Station

At the party, we’ll have a friendship bracelet-making station, complete with beads and stretch cord for the kids to create their own bracelets. You can find all the supplies to make the bracelets HERE. This activity will be a great way to keep the kids occupied, and it will fit perfectly with Taylor’s message of female empowerment and friendship. We anticipate that the kids will love getting creative with the beads and making their own unique bracelets, and they’ll probably even end up trading bracelets with each other, just like true Swifties! The bracelet-making station will be a hit, and the kids will enjoy having something to take home as a reminder of the fun they had at the party.

Custom Coloring & Activity Sheets

In addition, we’ll have some fun Taylor Swift-themed coloring activity sheets for the kids to enjoy. I purchased the file from Etsy and was able to customize it with Flora’s name and age. This made them even more special and personalized for her and her friends. The coloring activities also include word scrambles and word searches, so the kids can put their problem-solving skills to the test!

Karaoke of Course!

Of course, we’ll have Taylor Swift’s music playing on the record player, and microphones available for the kids to sing along and do karaoke. This will be a fun way for them to show off their singing skills and embrace their inner Fearless Taylor Swift. The music will really bring the Taylor Swift theme to life and add an extra level of excitement to the party!

Party Favors

As a thank you for coming to Flora’s party, we’ll be giving each guest a party favor bag filled with some fun and colorful items. The bags will include one of 2 different style cups; A fun disco ball cup for the younger kids and for the older kids, we’ll be substituting the disco ball cup with a cup that has Taylor Swift song lyrics printed on it. We’ll also be including a bottle of nail polish, so they can give themselves a fun manicure at home. And of course, no Taylor Swift-themed party would be complete without some heart-shaped sunglasses, so the kids can channel their inner “Shake It Off” music video. Finally, we’ll be including a fun “Shake It Off” sticker, so the kids can take a little piece of the party home with them. These party favors are sure to be a hit, and I know the kids will love having something to remember the party by!
